Our Trustees

Our proactive and dedicated board of trustees oversee the workings of the charity, ensuring we spend all the money we raise to best effect and where it is most needed. The board ensures we comply with all the legal obligations enforced by The Charities' Commission that are required of a registered charity, such as filing annual returns on time, completing audited accounts and spending restricted donations in the manner requested by the donor.

There are currently 6 trustees. Three of them are senior Neonatal Unit staff, Dr Sandy Calvert, Mary Goggin and Jeannie Walls. Their day to day work on the Neonatal Unit ensures the charity is always up to date with clinical developments and needs. Three trustees are parents of Neonatal Unit graduates, who bring technical and industrial excellence to the board; Achim Vogt works at a high level in City banking, Nicola Eastwood brings legal and financial expertise, and Nicola O'Connor has a background in media relations and web design at a senior level.
