Good luck to our 10k runners

This Sunday, six First Touch heroes will be running 10k to raise money for our neonatal unit. They will be taking part in the British London 10k, which takes in the iconic sights of our beautiful capital city. Our team this year will be Carlo Tozzi, Marg Webster, Natalie Oakley, William Oakley, Teresa McDonald and David O'Hanlon.

One runner, Marg Webster, has written on her Just Giving page: 'When our son Owen was born, part of his intestine was outside of his body. He had surgery on the day of his birth, and spent a week recovering in the neonatal unit at St Georges. As new parents we were anxious enough, but it was doubly hard to see our little boy hooked up to tubes and not be home with us. Throughout this difficult time the staff in the neonatal unit were wonderful - not only in taking care of Owen, but us as well. Owen is now a happy and healthy 9 month old - crawling, climbing and blowing raspberries!'

We wish all our runners all the very best on Sunday. Thank you all for taking part to raise much needed cash for us and to help raise our profile at such an important event.
