When 10 year old nnu graduates, Amy and Thomas Bell, heard about the vCreate video system which First Touch provides for families on the unit, they decided they wanted to help.
The twins said; “We are going to go on two 10 mile walks within the same week to raise money for families with premature babies. We were born 11 weeks before we should have been. During this time it was very hard for our parents as they were very worried about us. Due to visiting restrictions because of Coronavirus it is even more difficult for parents to visit their poorly babies and we would like to make this easier for them.”
The twins’ proud mum, Julia, who ran the Asics 10k London for First Touch, says “Thomas and Amy spent 8 weeks in the nnu at St George’s and Amy was put on a HF ventilator which saved her life. They are both miracle babies. They are walking a mile for each year of their life and are very happy to support the nnu.”
