First Touch marked World Prematurity Day with a photo exhibition in the foyer of St George’s Hospital, celebrating 25 years of neonatal care. We also funded food, gifts and decorations on the neonatal unit for staff and families.
World Prematurity Day is an opportunity to raise awareness of the challenges of preterm birth and to link communities in order to provide information and support. We celebrate our successes and also recognise the need for continued investment to improve outcomes for all children born prematurely. At First Touch we play our part by funding state-of-the-art equipment and staff training. We also do our best to ensure that families are supported throughout their neonatal journey, because this journey can be extremely difficult.
